Respect Private Property
Because of the "Repeal of 1843" (shown below), the Whitewater River in Franklin and Fayette counties is unique in that the river usage is controlled by private landowners who hold title deeds to the riverbed. The beaches, sandbars, islands and even the space above the riverbed are under control of each river landowner. It is imperative that anyone planning to float through this private property or fish this stream understand this fact and abide by all landowner regulations. Contact us for more information.
River Pass
$2.00 per boat per day licenses private boats to float through the sections of the Whitewater River owned or leased by Whitewater Canoe Rental. No pass needed in Dearborn County.
